In an age where target groups are drowned by an “information overload”, companies from every sector have to take the right steps to make their voice heard. The right brand and the consistent design and communication thereof are instrumental in contributing to the success of the company.

Ask readers, viewers or radio listeners what they have read in the print media, watched on television or heard on the radio – in other words, do what the major market research institutes do on a daily basis. Readers mainly remember the names of magazines or newspapers, viewers remember the TV format or the anchors, and radio listeners recall the names of radio stations. Despite the fact – and due to the competitive conditions and concentration of communications – television stations, for instance, have begun focusing intensively on consolidating the brand of their station, since individual program formats have already begun losing their uniqueness in the perception of the target group.
A similar observation can be made among business enterprises (B2B and B2C) which increasingly have to boost their products and bring them under a strong umbrella brand in order to build up trust, transparency and proximity to the target group.
